Processing of personal data

This privacy policy is in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") and the Swiss Data Protection Act ("DPA"). However, the application of these laws depends on the individual case

We collect and process data about existing and prospective clients and their personal and financial circumstances in order to comply with the legal requirements applicable to our activities, in particular in the context of the prescribed client segmentation and compliance with anti-money laundering regulations. In doing so, we not only process data that we receive from our clients, but also data that we obtain from publicly accessible sources or from private data processing companies specializing in the financial sector. We may also process particularly sensitive personal data about clients, prospective clients, their representatives, controlling owners and beneficial owners of assets under management, as well as about relatives and persons who have a personal or business relationship with them. If a client refuses to disclose information requested by us, we may find ourselves in a situation where we cannot (or can no longer) provide certain services for them, or we may not enter into a business relationship with them or must terminate existing business relationships.

The company may not and will not delete or destroy personal data upon or shortly after termination of a business relationship. We retain processed personal data for as long as we are required to do so by law.

The company shares the personal data it processes with third parties in the context of outsourcing business processes to the extent that this is necessary for the performance of their tasks. In addition, the company transfers personal data to other business partners who also provide services for a specific client or are intended to do so. [Such outsourcing and other business partners may also be based in foreign countries, provided we consider the level of data protection applicable there to be appropriate]. The company, its executive bodies and employees are also subject to professional secrecy in accordance with the Financial Institutions Act.

The company has appropriate regulations and control processes for the processing of personal data.
